Tips For You on Trying to Train That Puppy!

Hello There Fellow Dog Lover!

I know by reading this article you are looking for some good tips and ideas for training that cute puppy of yours. Well you have come to the right article! I'll begin with some basics.

1. You really should start as early as you can. Just like a new born child, you may not notice but they learn a lot about the world and how some functions work in the very early stages of their life. So it is imperative that you be able to commit yourself early. Yes it can and probably will be hard. You could easily lose a 'consistency of training' battle to the cuteness of a puppy, but you have to start early and be consistent. You will see me telling you this a lot but BE CONSISTANT!

2. Try to see the world through the puppies' eyes. By that I mean a "Pack Mentality". The dog has to see you as the 'Pack Leader' if he or she does not then that could lead to behavior difficulties' and unwillingness to cooperate. Now this does not mean Yelling at the dog or treating it like trash, or doing the biggest mistake people make, hitting the dog. This is a huge problem; it can cause the dog to be afraid of you. That is not the way you want to teach your puppy to behave. DO NOT use a 'Fear' technique.

3. Use a reward system. You should implement a reward system. Something like when you are trying to teach your puppy a trick, task or behavior, you should reward it with a great deal of affection and a small treat whenever a task is undertaken correctly. Then in time you can fade out the treat but always leave the affection. Remember when things may get rough and the probably will never stop trying or stop caring, you are the best person for the job. You will be greatly rewarded with a lifetime bond between you and your puppy.

4. Don't set the bar too high, because doing this can bring you down if something does not happen right away. This type of thing takes time and a lot of effort. Hang in there and stick it out, because YOU CAN DO THIS! I believe in you just as you should believe.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this article. I wish you the best of luck
